Sorry it's been a while!

I can't believe how fast Eli is growing up! He's enjoying practicing walking. Aunt Debbie has taught him how to go down the stairs backwards, but once he's to the top it takes quite a bit of convincing to get him back down! We had a photo shoot in Old Sac with a friend/ photographer the other day. I can't wait to get the CD! Here's a few of the preview pictures she sent me! So far this pregnancy has been easier. We had our NT scan last week and so far baby was measuring perfect. That's always a relief!

Big changes!

If we told you we had kielbasa and sauerkraut with crab cream cheese wontons for dinner I am sure you could guess what that meant! Our family is growing! Baby #2 is due to arrive June 13, 2013!

Pumpkin patch

We went to a local pumpkin patch last week. Eli had a blast. Train ride, corn maze, petting zoo... Just his kind of place!

Dave visited!

Mini Vacation! Part 2

We made it home around noon. Eli was a great little traveler as always! We had a great few days in Anaheim. Stayed with Shiloh's family. Eli loved them all and had fun! We met up with Kim and Chris White and family for dinner one night and for a day at Disneyland. Yesterday we had a delicious breakfast with Mike and Caroline at Schooner or Later followed by an amusing walk around the harbor. It is always great to see them and Eli seems to enjoy it!
 Eli is getting to be more and more kid and less baby as the days go by.
He still loves his veggies, and eating healthy. He has started liking to put things in containers. (remind us to always keep the toilet lid SHUT) He has mastered the stairs, only going up, and loves every chance he gets to make the climb. He's been saying "mama" and "mom" for almost 3 months, but just started saying "dada", "na" (usually followed with a firm head shake) and tries to say hi.

Mini Vacation!

We are on a much needed mini vacation to Southern California. Yesterday we went to Disneyland with Kim White (Wong) and her family. Eli LOVED it! I have better pictures on my camera, and will post when I get home. We are excited to get to see Mike and Caroline for breakfast soon!

Sushi!

Shiloh has been visiting since Tuesday, so tonight we ventured to my favorite sushi place to introduce Eli to it! He loved playing with his chopsticks and ate most of his California roll.
It's been a rough week here. Eli is teething and got the chicken pox (albeit a mild version) from his vaccine last week! Yay live vaccines! And I figured I would add my favorite picture from his birthday party.

Welcome to Eli's World!

Because the Ross Family Blog seemed to die a slow and painful death... Dave Ross mentioned maybe I should try to do just an Eli Blog! So we are going to give it a shot! I know now that the aforementioned Dave Ross does not have a cell phone, I can no longer send him pictures of his amazing nephew as he grows... A blog is the perfect place to track his growth and changes... While keeping the family and some friends up to date on the happenings in Eli's life!

As I posted on the Ross family Blog before giving up on it.. Eli had a GREAT 1st birthday. We were both off on Friday so we went and had his 1 year pictures taken as well as some family pictures. Saturday we had a birthday party at a local park. Eli had a great time and it was nice to get together with a few friends and some family!

At 1 year Eli is 35.5 inches and 31lbs 11oz. If anyone wants to start contributing to our grocery bill we are accepting donations! His favorite foods are vegetables, tofu nuggets, soy hot dogs, and pasta with sauce! He Hates Juice, mashed potatoes, Rice, and processed meat (at 1 he is quite the health nut)

Favorite activites are practicing walking with his push toys, playing with his cars, and pulling on dogs ears.
